John Kingman Keating is the founding law partner of Keating/Schlitt, P.A. Mr. Keating practices in the areas of real estate transactions, land use and development, commercial leasing and property management, business and real estate loan transactions, the formation, acquisition, sales and related transactions, such as shareholder buy-sell agreements of business entities. Mr. Keating has extensive experience, both as an attorney and as an investing principal, in land acquisition, entitlement, development, and sale, including obtaining governmental approvals, permits and entitlements, and the subsequent disposition of both single-family and mixed-use development projects. In connection with such transactions, Mr. Keating has negotiated and prepared sophisticated acquisition, sale, lease, financing, and land use related documentation. Mr. Keating also owns and operates a title closing agency, Town Square Title, which offers residential and commercial closing and settlement services throughout Florida. Mr. Keating was born and raised in Orlando, Florida (a fourth generation Floridian) and has lived in Orlando all of his life. Mr. Keating is married to Lisa Fox Keating and has three children: Kingman, Kathleen, and Virginia. Mr. Keating’s father, Hon. Richard B. Keating, served as a County and Circuit Court Judge in Orlando for many years until his death in 1982.
